Evelyn Lozada is finally speaking out about allegedly becoming the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband Chad Johnson. And while Lozada hasn’t officially written her thoughts out on her Twitter page yet, she has released a statement that confirms the police report, while also displaying her disappointment in her husband’s actions.
On Saturday, Chad Johnson was arrested for allegedly head-butting Evelyn after she found his receipt for a box of condoms. Evelyn says he then head-butted her in anger, while Chad believes it was all an accident.“I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me,” Evelyn said in her officially released statement to the public.
“It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well,” she added.
Through it all, Evelyn has been able to get support on Twitter from her fans. While she hasn’t responded to any tweets personally, people have left thousands of supportive comments lamenting the domestic violence that is alleged to have transpired.
And for that, Evelyn is eternally thankful.
“I’m grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time,” said Evelyn in her statement.Since the Chad and Evelyn story broke online on Saturday, VH1 has cancelled their upcoming wedding special “Ev & Ocho.” Evelyn Lozada is sadly also coping with the death of her brother-in-law, too.

“Basketball Wives.” Evelyn Lozada is being blamed by former NFL star Warren Sapp for having instigated a fight with Chad Johnson that ultimately led to his release from the Miami Dolphins and Lozada filing for a divorce shortly thereafter.
In a recent interview with the Miami Times News, Warren Sapp is asked about the Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada fight. Here’s his take on it.
Chad Johnson, I suppose. You think they used the Evelyn Lozada fight to kick him off the team?Come on. Tell me the first and last name of a brother who headbutted someone.
No, before that. When is the last time one of your homeboys called you and told you, "Let me tell you about this fight at the club last night where this guy and his girlfriend were walking by and he turned around and headbutted the girl." Never. He's taking the rap for it. We don't do that. She did it. That's a woman that is going to depend on her beauty for the rest of her life to open any door she wants to walk through, and she is going to do what to her forehead? I'm done. [Chad] is a bunch of fun and I am sorry this had to happen to him.
Since the fight went public, Evelyn Lozada has gone into hiding. She has only recently been spotted publicly, where she was wearing a colorful dress and a blue hat. Many are already speculating that Evelyn was wearing the hat to cover up her injuries, although if you ever watched “Basketball Wives,” Evelyn wearing a hat is not anything particularly new or odd.
Evelyn Lozada’s Twitter has been dead silent since the incident too, with her only tweeting about the recent passing of her brother-in-law, whom she was very close too. It’s possible that Evelyn Lozada’s divorce, or simply her lawyers, have caused her not to say anything publicly (aside from her officially released statement one week ago).
Evelyn and Chad’s upcoming new TV show, “Ev & Ocho,” has also been cancelled by VH1. It was set to air within two weeks.
